Lake Tahoe

Le week-end dernier on s'est loué avec quelques amis un chalet sur les bords du lac Tahoe, à 300 km au nord-est de Berkeley, juste à cote du Nevada.
Last weekend we rented a house near lake Tahoe with friends. We were 300 km north east of Berkeley, close to the Nevada border.

Première journée, temps splendide. On découvre les joies du ski de randonée.
First day, terrific weather. We discover the joys of cross-country skiing.





Deuxième journée, bien plus froide. Sur les berges du lac.
Second day, much colder. A small hike on the beach in front of our house for starters.









Puis petite rando en raquettes.
Then a little bit of snow shoeing.

Bien contents d'avoir echappé aux ours et d'avoir retrouvé le chemin de la voiture, après avoir tourné en rond dans la forêt.
Very happy to have escaped the bears and found the way back to the car after getting lost several times in the forest.



Le surlendemain, en route pour la joie: montage de chaînes indispensable et 300 km qui nous attendent, pare-chocs contre pare-chocs. Ca nous prendra 8h pour rentrer chez nous!!!!
The next day, we head back from the long weekend with thousands of others on the snowy roads, chains required for 300 km of bumper to bumper traffic. It took us 8 hours to come back!!!

Romantik

Petite séquence nostalgie qui donne envie de prendre un bain d'eau turc(oise), de s'ennivrer de raki et de se remplir la panse de fasulye et de kuruyemis. Ces photos ont été prises lors de notre virée en bateau sur la mer Méditerranée, été 2006. Justyna nous avait emprunté l'objectif de l'appareil numérique et l'avait adapté à son argentique. Elle a developpé les négatifs récemment et voilà le résultat. Vous nous manquez tous les romantiques!
Little sequence of nostalgia that makes us want to take a turk(oise) bath, pour out a glass of raki and fill our stomachs with fasulye and kuruyemis. These photos were taken during our boat trip on the Mediterranean the summer of 2006. Justyna had borrowed the objective of our digital camera and adapted it on her argentic. She scanned the negatives recently and here is the outcome. We miss you all the romantic people of the boat!
