Point Pinole

Le 4 Juillet, un jour ferié! Enfin un! Après un passage éclair au labo (pas plus de 5 min, faut pas exagérer) on décide de profiter de cette belle journée pour aller faire un petit tour en vélo à Point Pinole, au nord de la baie. Un petit parc naturel protégé plein d'eucalyptus.
4th of July, a holiday! Finally! After a quick back-and forth to the lab (not more than 5 minutes! one shouldn't exagerate) we decide to take advantage of this sunny day to do a little bit of biking at Point Pinole, north of the bay. In a little regional park plenty of eukalyptus trees - dream of any kuala bear!

Russian Hill

Petite virée à Russian Hill (colline russe), un quartier très pentu de San Francisco, avec notamment la rue Filbert et ses 31,5 % de dénivellation!

Petit week-end tranquille entre nous deux. Allons jouer au backgammon sur les hauteurs de Berkeley, avec vue sur San Francisco et le Golden Gate.

Bien évidemment c'est Deniz qui a gagné. Forte comme une turque!

Haight-Ashbury street fair / Festival de rue

Le quartier Haight-Ashbury est super sympa, très vivant, plein de jolies maisons victoriennes. C'est là où habite Jordane. Petit festival de rue dans ce quartier; on y va avec Hervé qui est de passage éclair en Californie.
Around Haight&Ashbury is a really cool old hippie neighborhood overflowing with lively neighborhood stores, homeless people and offcourse tourists. There was this so called street fair there a couple of weeks back.

Le festival en soi est un peu decevant 'un max de stands de bouffe, des stands de pseudo artisanals et quelques scènes avec des groupes quelconques... le plus intéressant en fait c'est les gens...' comme dit Nicolas
The fair in itself is deceiving: 'a maximum number of food stands with pseudo hand craft stands peppered in and a bunch of stages with random groups... the most interesting is as usual the people...' as Nicolas says
